If you are an alumni with at least one year’s worth of debate competition under your belt, consider being a back up judge for the NVDC online championship! Details are as follows.

Compensation

$30 Per TP Round Judged

$20 Per LD Round Judged

$20 Per Parli Round Judged

Minimum Requirements

• You must have a minimum of one year’s worth of debate competition experience

• You must agree to follow and enforce the rules and policies of the tournament

• You must be on time: alumni judges that are late to their assigned rounds or that do not show up to their assigned rounds will be taken off of the list immediately

• You must have gone through judge orientation at some point in the past

Assigning Rounds

We are offering an opt out option for parent judges that will allow an alumnus to fill their judging requirement for a specific round. In addition, we would like to have alumni on standby in case a judge does not show up to a round. Therefore, the number of alumni judges we need will vary from round to round. We cannot guarantee that all alumni on the list will have the opportunity to judge a round. We will assess the need for alumni judges from round to round and assign rounds to alumni on standby.
